One of the most important trade centers of the Mediterranean, ASBAŞ Antalya Free Zone, had a successful year even though the pandemic and trade volume of 2020 has exceeded 840 million $ by an increase of 8 %.
In 2020, 83 companies have been operating in AFZ and 55 of them are foreing. Manufactured products within the zone created a volume of 819 million $. AFZ has trade connections with all over the world and exporting from yacht industry to agriculte, medical to metal and construction, electric-electronics to textiles.
AFZ has not given any breaks even during the pandemic and increased its trade volume by 8 %. The trade volume was 777 million $ by the end of 2019. The largest volume has been to OECD countries with 432 million $ and the most traded countries have been Germany, the Netherlands, Italy and the USA.
2020 has been the investment year for ASBAŞ. The Quay Infrastructure Project which has started in 2020, will be finished by June and will allow the employment capacity of the zone to grow more. By 2019, AFZ employed 5091, which raised 5351 in 2020.
